Question about a bidding problem with Ebay?

So here's the deal. I was buying an item from eBay just a moment ago using the Buy It Now option. About 15-20 minutes after I bought it (payment sent via PayPal and all) I got an e-mail from eBay stating that they removed the listing and I was no longer obligated to buy this item (even though I had already paid). Is this in any way normal or should I be concerned? Or should I have the payment reversed on PayPal?
