Question about a dream?

A little background... we have had a lot of family drama lately. My mother finally told me last Monday that she didnt want anything to do with me. It has been eating me alive. I think more emotionally then anything else.

There is a man from my past. He wasnt in my life for very long but he did touch it in a big way. He was like the father I never had. He passed away when I was still in grade school. There are times that he comes up in conversation but not a whole lot.

So on to the dream... in my dream he was sitting at the kitchen table eating, as was I. There was others in the room but I dont know/ remember who they were. No one spoke in the dream but me and all I talked about was the family drama and the fight with my mom. He just sat there, never said a word but when I woke I really feel like I talked to him and he assured me everything was going to be ok. Why him? Some say that people that have passed visit you thru dreams, is that true?

i dont know about the ghost theory, but you saw him as a comforting, important guy in your life.  your subconcious probobly brought him back from your memories to help you deal with the emotional craziness.

sounds like you dont have anyone to talk too and so have talked it through in your dream with the one person you really trusted - this is a good thing as it then can be released and you can get on with life
