I had a bike accident in 3rd grade that led to a root canal in 4th grade and eventually a fake front tooth in 5th grade. im now going into 12th grade and ive noticed that its gotten harder to bite through food with it. is there any way that i could have it sharpened or should i just have a new one put in?

  1. you should have a new one put in and il tell you why. your real tooth the one below your fake tooth has become small for the fake tooth you currently have, what you should do is ask to have a veener(if you have enough tooth structure left, or a crown, but if your real tooth is super small theyre going to have to do a post and build up(put in a s***w and build composite around it to place a crown)

  2. They can do just about anything now, though not all dentist do. I would make an apptt w/your dentist and see what he suggest.  But something can be done.
