  1. Absolutely. They more you handle your hamster, the better. He will trust you more and get more comfortable around you. You can also hand feed him his favorite foods, he will trust you and associate you with good things. There is not any guarantee on this, but this is what happens with most hamsters. Good Luck!=)

Remember, your hamster will only recognize you by your smell, so let him sniff your hand, but at s distance so he can't bite. Before sticking your hand near his face, talk to him so he knows you are there, hamsters will bite if they are startled! Make sure you are gental and wash your hands so he doesn't think your fingers are treats!

  2. if you play with alot he will get attached and more friendly. He will bite less and only when frightened. He will be tamed shortly. good luck!

  3. You should play with your hamster EVERYDAY for atleast 20 minutes. If it's a Dwarf hamster you should play with it for atleast 30-40 minutes cause if you dont everyday it will turn wild.  But yes it shouldn't bite anymore, AND if he/she doesnt bite for that 20 mins i'de reward Your hamster with a treat. So it wont bite the next time because it'll want its treat :).

    Hope it helps.

  4. Yes it will. I have done this with the two hamster i had and they bit no one (even annoying little kids)

  5. WELL HE/SHE SHOULD GET 2 NO YOUR SMELL SO HE/SHE WILL GET 2 NO U BETTER SO YES I THINK U SHOULD LET YOUR HAMSTER OUT OF YOUR CAGE 1 IN A WHILE

  6. Usually, yes. Most hamsters only bite if they are scared, sick or hungry.

You should always wash your hands before handling your hamster because if you smell yummy he is likely to take a taste.

To keep him from getting sick, clean his cage weekly, give him fresh food and water daily and be sure he's in a large enough environment. Be sure to be gentle when handling him and take him to a vet if he starts acting funny (not as active, decreased appetite or less water consumption).

  7. possibly, my fist hamster bit me even though it was used to me, but me second one never bit me so I guess it depends if you get lucky.

  8. Yeah;

if you let him smell your hand and pet him and hold him everyday he will definately get usedd to you

    i promise :]

  9. At some point s/he should get used to you but hamsters have personality so it depends on the hamster.

  10. It all depends, 1st how old is this hamster? If it young definitely! But if it is an older hamster it will take some working with it.

    Here are some tips:

Never wake up your hamster to hold or play with it, it WILL bite you and be angry throughout the whole visit.

Make sure your hands are clean wash them with UNSCENTED soap. Hamster's have a keen sense of smell and your peach soap may smell tasty.

And finally start with petting him/her in the cage, don't take him out of his "safe" zone".

If you follow those  suggestions your path may change in your favor.

You need to remember that some hamster's never get accustomed to human hands so if this doesn't work enjoy your friend in his cage.
