Question about a weird MAGIC THE GATHERING card I found, PLEASE HELP!?

Ok, my little brother passed away a few months ago and my Mother gave me his collection of Magic the Gathering cards to add to my own. I was going through them last night an I found a card that I've never seen before (I don't really play the game, I just have a very large collection of the cards.) Anyways, the back of the card looks like all of the other ones, but the front of the card has just a picture of a squirrel that appears to be holding something that looks like a fig newton in its hand. The border of the card is silver (if that even means anything,) and at the bottom is says "Illus. Ron Spencer." Underneath that is says "c1993-1998 Wizards of the Coast, Inc. 94/94 Killer."

Can anyone tell me what the heck this card is? I mean is it even a playable card? I looked up some info on Ron Spencer an found a gallery of his cards, but this one wasn't listed. I've tried, but I'm not really finding any info. Am I just not looking in the right places?

  1. This card is likely from the Unglued expansion, and it is likely the card "Vorath's Motion Sensor."

This card is not playable in any form of sanctioned tournaments, but it is awesome. I absolutely love the unglued expansion. But that's me.

    Hope that helped!

  2. First sorry your little brother passed.

    It is not playable.

Illus. Means illustaror, so Ron Spencer is the illistrator.

It is not a fake, it is legal.

Ron works for the company. He made the cards Crovax and Ashnod.

Does it have attack, if not I see the monster you talk about, it holds a fig, green background and silver boardering.

This is a collectors card. A token. For show, worth $3.

I found this at (is it the right monster?)

Hope this helps! I have never seen this before though!

  3. I HAVE MANY CARDS LIKE THAT. IT IS A JOKE CARD IT IS MENT TO BE FUNNY. sorry about your brother that is tragic hope i can help.

  4. First off, sorry about your loss.

Secondly, that card is legal.  It is a token card and can be used in any deck that makes squirrel tokens, since it is just used to show that you have a token out in play.  And that card is from Unglued.  A "fun" set made by Wizards for Magic the Gathering.  It is the first set of 3 "fun" sets.  The other one was Unhinged and the third one has yet to be released.  These "fun" sets are silverbordered to show that they are not tournament legal.

  5. this may sound a bit morbit but maybe the card was cursed by your brothers tragic death.

either that or its a fake of some sort or a special edition

  6. Too bad about your brother.  I offer my condolences.

It sounds like your card is an Unglued/Unhinged card though.  Sliver borders are used for that.  Black and white borders represent regular cards.  Gold trimmed cards are generally World Tournement decks.
