I've been reading up on antidepressants a little bit lately, and I have some questions: Do antidepressants work only as long as you take them? I know they aren't a cure for depression, but do they have longer-lasting effects? Are they highly addictive, or can your body build up an immunity to them? If so, and if they work only as long as you keep taking them, doesn't that make them kind of pointless in the long run?
Any advice would be great, and sources are good.
Please help!
