  1. It sounds like you might be having something called "discontinuation syndrome".  If feels more like withdrawal to the person who is having it.  If you went off the zoloft cold turkey that could be the reason you are having this problem.  If you want to be off zoloft talk to your doctor about a taper schedule.

  2. sorry i'm not a health care professional but you should definitely talk to one about your problems before they get even worse, and believe me, they can. it seems to me that if you're less anxious and really relaxed, you wouldn't be gaining an unnatural amount of weight, so maybe zoloft isn't right for you. there are so many other medications out there because actually, a lot of people have your problem. usually, it's situational too, so see if there's something in your home or work life that's causing you stress. if your psychiatrist or whoever isn't working well with you, find someone who's more helpful. there are bad doctors out there but you'll find a great one.

  3. that sound like when i was having zoloft withdraws, i was taking zoloft and my mind traveledd 90 miles minuteuet and gsuicidaldle so i got off of it .

you might talk to your Doctor on maybe lowering tdosageage.

zoloft has a way of making your boweirderd stuff. and sometimes you want to say! oops!

  4. Hi Barbie, You may be experiencing withdrawal symptoms from stopping the Zoloft. GO BACK to the doctor and tell him/her all this.  You need to be on a maintenance dose to keep you on an even keel. But if the Zoloft is causing weight gain (this is not necessarily the case - there could be other factors involved) then try a different medication.

I found Zoloft satisfactory for chronic depression.  It eventually lost its effect and I am now on escitalopram [Lexapro] which is also satisfactory.
