  1. for single person you need maybe 30 square meters its a nice size depends where you want to live in a big city maybe 260 euros thats like 380 dollars in a small town maybe 190 euros thats like 250 dollars depends if you want to live in the gettho apartments are small in germany lots of college people you will find somthing why you looking anyway.

  2. just FYI

most of the time an apt in germany comes without a kitchen.and you dont count one bedroom you say one room.

so if you are looking for an apt with  1 bedroom, a living room, a batroom you have to ask for a "two room"

  3. With over 82 million people, Germany is a big country and without knowing where in Germany you'd like to live, there is no way that you're going to get an answer to your question that will actually be correct.

Each city is different. There are very expensive cities and cheaper ones.

More info needed - then we can help.

  4. Well I live in a big city (Munich) and my studio apartment is about 35 square meters and costs 440 euros a month...

  5. Well on top of what is already said I can also say that the height of most places are taller than in the USA as are door's.

Heaters are in each room with their own temperature controls in most places I have seen and they use mini refridgerators compared to our Large ones for example they do not refridgerate Milk as we do but it is a little different as well. Most do not have closets like we do, but depend on you having your own wardrobe set for clothes and such. Many of the building were reconstructed as they used to look before they were destroyed and rebuilt or just repaired and are real old!!

they have a good communication system at each doorway entrance with buzzers. This is again in the typical Flat as they call them not apartments.

That is just some extra info on top of what they told you already.

  6. It really depends .. in succesful cities like Munich, Hamburg, Stuttgart or Karlsruhe  appartments are very expensive -- in other areas they are cheaper - due to a poor economy-such as Berlin, Schwerin or Neubrandenburg.
