1. Can You hook up a Macbook Pro to a non-apple monitor?

2. Can you use a non-apple mouse on a macBook pro?

3. A non-Apple external hard drive for macbook pro?

4. Can I back up files from my PC to a Macbook Pro?

  1. The answer to 1, 2, and 3 is yes. In most cases if you attach them they just work. Unless they are very old it's very unlikely there will be any problem. Not sure what you mean by 4. Do you just want to transfer files from the PC to the Mac? You can do it, but if they are Windows-specific files you won't be able to open them. If it's things like Microsoft Office documents you can get Office for Mac and then you can open them. But keep in mind, you can install Windows on your Macbook Pro. You then have the choice of starting in either Windows or Mac OS, and if you need Windows to open something you have it available.

  2. 2. = yes.

  3. 1 yes 2 yes 3 yes 4 yes, you can have copies of files on your Mac. make sure it is a USB mouse though as MBPro lacks a ps/2 port.
