Question about barrel for us army paintball marker.

I recently bought a us army alpha black tactical edition paintball gun, and I wanted a better barrel so i bught this one http://www.sakworldpaintball.com/smpa20taba.html with the a5 thread option because I figured since they are both made by tippman it would work but it didnt so I was wondering if there was anyway I could get it to work on my gun and if not does anyone know where I could get better barrels for my gun?

well you can either get a new barrel, which you might want to do, or you can buy a barrel adapter from an a-5 barrel to 98 custom threads. If you are gonna get a new barrel, return the old one and get something like the evil pipe barrel kit for 50$ on www.firstcallpaintball.com(if you do pick the ultra tips option) and dont go over 16 inches on a barrel EVER. Don't worry you could make it work. I had the same problem before. I also have a Tippmann Army and a Apex M16 A5 barrel. The Tippmann Army barrel thread is the same as the Tippmann 98 custom. You can get a barrel adapter a A5 to 98 fairly cheap on ebay.

get a 14in u are better 2 more around with the gun and the longer the barrel the fewer the paintball goes it happens beacue u shoot the paintball and as it comes the down the barrel it straightness out but with long barrel its straight buy u lose volicty which make the paintballs go shorter
