Question about birth control pill?

Does the longer you've been on the pill affect it's effectiveness? I've been on the pill for 3 years.. does that make it harder for me to get pregnant since I've been taking it for so long? Or does it not make any difference?

  1. I was on the pill for a little over 2 years when i suddenly did not get a period (no idea why, I wasn't pregnant). I stopped taking it and the next month I got my period & then became pregnant.

  2. Some birth control works that way, but for the pill.....you are good to go!!!

  3. i am ttc right now and so far its been 5 months and no baby yet. however they say if your under 30, healthy body and wight, dont smoke or drink and have no health problems..  you should beable to get preg in the first year of ttc. But they also told me to wait 3 cycles to clean out your system of the horomon from bc.
