  1. im not racist at all. and im sure if blacks said something like that to whites they'd get upset too. :)

  2. kind of like when a guy sleeps with numerous women he's the man,and when a woman sleeps with numerous men she's a w***e? double standards suck don't they?

  3. They're reclaiming it.  It's sarcastic, in a way.  It's a bit like women reclaiming the word "*****."  Besides, white people treated them like **** for eons.  They can call themselves whatever they want, and if they'd rather not have white people call them that, we should respect it.

  4. I think it's DEFINITELTLY a double standard! I'm not racist at all, but hear me out... Blacks have been using this against whites way past it's expiration date.  None of us were alive when any of this happened, so we shouldn't have to live under this double standard.... IMO no one should use that word at all...

  5. i don't see y its such a big deal my whole lyfe growin up i had all black friends and i grew up in an all black neighborhood and i don't care anymore its always been the rule so wtf do u wanna say it that bad

it's jus common knowledge white people don't say it d**n

  6. People are alarmingly sensitive these days. There isn't much to do about it.

  7. I'm not a second class citizen, if blacks can use that word then I can too.   I've used it 6 times since I heard Jesse Jackson say it.   And I'm gonna keep sayin it.   C'mon bretheren, how u gonna stop me?   Ya can't.   I'm a free man, and I'm gonna keep bein free.

  8. Im not racist.

I use the "N" word. (which btw yahoo didnt let me write so thats why i had to say "N")

    Im Spanish.

I dont mean it as an offence.

I use is towards both "White" and "Black" people.

I Refuse to change my Vocab for something that the "White" men did to the "Black" men. And even if i was "white", I would refuse to change it for something my ancestors did to Others Ancestors.

  9. The simplest explanation is calling someone with whom you are not intimate in an intimately familiar manner.  This is awkward and inappropriate.

There are African Americans who don't use or address one another with the n word.

Reality is that the negative connotations of n word extends from slavery and Jim Crow.  This a demeaning term used to maintain inferior superior slave master social definition.

There are many whites who would restore the original usage of the term.  This gives a contemporary sense of the inferior superior dynamic.

    The issue becomes ethical.

  10. a lot of em seem to play the "your being racist" card

  11. No I don't think that "That particular" situation is a double standard.  But, I do think that we live in a double standard society "remember Katrinia"?  That would never have happen in Beverly HIlls (enough said about that).  Lets be honest, white people have not earned the right and never had any right to call a group of people who helped build this country ignorant, sub-humane, etc. (they used the word n*$$*r) to sum up all these thoughts and feelings.  Because that word was used to kill, lynch and burn innocent people it will NEVER be a word white people can use. Our grand's messed that up. Case closed.

  12. sup my Cracker

    I can call my mum a *****

But you cant because its not your place. (same principle)

Why you wanna use the word anyway

What are you having trouble describing in your life that could be easier if you used the N word.

    It really dosent matter

  13. i feel the same way.

    like i hate that word.

it has a deeper meaning than "homeboy".

i dont think it should be used at all to be honest.

  14. they are merely desensitizing it.

  15. yes it is, but i don't use slang words anyway so it don't affect me. my father told me that cursing or slang was just a weak mind trying to express it's self. if i have anything to say to anybody regardless of nationality i say it to their face and back it up.

  16. African Americans have harnessed the word that has been used to oppress them historically as their own.  It is a means of an oppressed people taking the power away from the dominating force by weakening the social meaning of it by adapting its use in regular language.  Therefore, it is not said only when used to denigrate.

  17. African American uses the word "*****" to address each other.  It's like saying "friend".  Caucasians have used the work "******" as a way of saying that the black person is ignorant.

I personally don't think anyone should refer to the the other as "*****" or "******".

  18. No, it's not a double standard. I don't like the word at all, but I do know that not just the word is to blame, but the emotions behind it. Usually when white people use the word they express anger and hate. When black people use it with eachother it usually just represents friendship. Besides, white people have no right to say that word in the first place after what some of our ancestors did. (not my ancestors mind you)

  19. im black and i hate the word too and i dont think anyone should use it but in the music these days its used to say homeboy and greetings like that but i dont think anyone should use it

  20. I'm not one bit racist and I agree with you it is a double standard but all any of us can do is not use it and let life continue.
