Question about body anatomy of a normal mammal like a bear, elephant and deer?

the b*****s of a bear are on the chest, same with an elephant but why are the b*****s in the groin area of deer, horses and cows?

  1. Originally, mammals had two lines of teats among the entire underside of the torso. Some lines of descent lost the front ones, some lost the back ones, and some kept them all. If litter sizes are small enough that you can reduce the number, there is no selective advantage to retaining either the front or the back ones.


  2. wow i really had not though of that, but now i am thinking, so why are the breast of cats and dogs and tigers and lions from the groin up to the chest?  is it some sort of evolution migration thing? the b*****s moving from the chest to the groin in al drawn out process?

    i may have to apply for a grant to research this
