Ryanair has a really good deal on a flight I want from Italy to Norway, but when I go to make the reservation it makes me check a box saying I have a valid EU passport or EEA national ID card. I'm from the United States, so I don't. Will this stop me from getting on the plane when I go to travel? Or will I be alright as long as my US passport is valid?

  1. Just as the above poster said, you will be fine. Check the box and be on your way :)

  2. I just checked the site; it does not request a valid EU-Passport but says

All passengers must present valid photo identification to check-in for all flights. The only acceptable forms of photo-ID on Ryanair flights are:

A valid passport (passport for travel outside the EEA must have six months validity beyond the date of entry).

    ........

Since you have a valid passport you are good to go.

The site moreless discribes what kind of photo ID is required for Schengen State members (EU-Citizens) to travel, since some people thought after boarders are open, they don't need any documents for travelling..

So you can make the check that you've read and understood the Photo ID requirements.
