im 31 weeks and my last 3 ultrasound the doc has told me that my babys measuring a lil small but never really said anything else about it.then i went in today to get checked and they said that my belly is still measuring fine but her head is measuring small and they will probably have me do another u/s to check again(my last one was a few weeks ago) they also said they will probably have me come in every week from now on to check me(ive also been having braxton hicks and my cervix is soft now,but closed) has anyone else had this happen or heard of it? her arms and legs and everything r fine its just her head...and they said my cervix is soft but is closed and 3cm thick so if its that thick then i shouldnt be concerned bout the BH making me dilate or anything right?

  1. Ultrasound or any other kind of outside measurement isn't always accurate.  With all three of my children, the doctors underestimated the height and weight by more than two inches or a pound and a half.  Braxton-Hicks contractions are very normal after 28 - 30 weeks.  As long as your body doesn't dilate past a three before 36 - 38 weeks, I wouldn't get too worried until my doctor gave me a specific reason to.
