  1. Yes.

    pure alcohol works.

spray it on blot it off and then spray again.

make sure to saturate the area.

Most items can tolerate alcohol... if not sure test an area.

Most carpet is nylon and that works great.

If the pee is into the padding then you will really have to pour on the alcohol... blot then spray...

    good luck

  2. home remedies for cat pee: http://www.getridofthings.com/get-rid-of...

The cat needs to not be able to smell it too because they will keep going in the same spot as long as they smell it.

  3. white distilled vinegar - best household item to remove smell and stains from cat pee - just got myself a fresh gallon . . .

  4. NATURE'S MIRACLE.

I think they have one that says Stain and Odor Remover and another one that says For Cats Only.

Both seem to work well for cat urine. Follow instructions to the letter and it'll work.

The problem is, or course, if the cat continues to pee then you are fighting an uphill battle!

  5. Biological washing powder! Biological washing powder!

It's the ONLY thing that will fully remove all smell of the ammonia, and therefore reduce the likelihood of the cat peeing there again. Take it from experience, bio washing powder makes it like it never happened!

    Chalice

  6. just don't use ammonia!  it reacts with the cat pee, and the cat will then continue to pee there...

i have used vinegar and a pet stain/odor remover with great success...

  7.     The most effective product I have found is Nature's Miracle. It is sold in pet supply stores as well as some grocery stores. I have even bought it in a hardware store.

It is an odor and stain removal liquid that is safe to use on either solid surfaces or carpets and fabrics. Not cheap but it works like a charm.

  8. cat pee is tough.  I have washed items over and over and never can get the smell out.  I usually saturate the spot with water first, then use a paper towel to soak up all the excess liquid.  I then follow that with some type of carpet cleaner.  I leave it on for a minute or two, then use a damp cloth to dab it up.  Then I vacuum the spot and spray Fabreeze or some other odor reducer.  Be careful to keep your pets out of the room, because they are very sensitive to chemical smells.  I have found that Fabreeze will keep cats from peeing on couches and such.

  9. you gotta be careful on that some household items are harmful

  10. Cat pee smell can be very hard to get out.Depending on out the item is the best way to get it out is bleach, but unfortunately you can not use it on every thing.  Your next bet is apple cider vinegar, which does have it's own awful smell but its safe to use almost anywhere.

  11. Kids and Pets

Be careful because some household cleansers are harmful like lysol and 409 and stuff like that.
