  1. I don't think Celebrex wasn't taken of fthe market, but Vioxx was (although they are pretty similar).

They are anti-inflammatories like aspirin or ibuprofen.  However, they work a little differently than aspirin, etc because they do not inhibit the regulatory functions of the cell such as to protect the stomach lining.  Therefore, they are supposed to be safer to use than traditional anti-inflammatories.

Anti-inflammatories decrease the process of inflammation in the body in order to reduce pain.

  2. I had heel spurs so bad I was using a walker and cane.  Get this:  I was reading an article in Readers Digest by a person who had heel spurs too.  He said to get a ruler, take your shoes off and stand on the ruler at the widest part of your foot and take that measurement....say four inches...then EVERY time you buy a shoe take the ruler and measure that shoe at its widest point.  Never buy a shoe that is narrower than or equal to the widest point of your foot.

Instead of having surgery,  bought wider shoes and bingo, I can walk again and my spurs went away.

You do not need...in my opinion...expensive therapy...two or three times a day stand of a step with your heels toward the lower step and gently lower your  heels up and down for about two or three minutes stretching the Achilles membrane

Celebrex is bad for your heart, look it up.
