Question:

Question about changing dance schools

I'm a little late in resuming dance training and I'd really love to catch up.

You see, my dance teacher has not long had a baby and she's fine for teaching the younger kids and stuff but her jumps and floor work for hip-hop are compromised. I'm sure any of you dancers who have started some new moves appreciate the benefits of having them displayed to you properly. Is it worthwhile changing dance schools? I am a touch reluctant to change because I have a really great relationship with my teacher and group. What do you suggest?

  1. Yes move on!  Don't waste your money and time just to please others. Thank her but say you need to expand or go onto other things.

  2. Deciding to change dance schools can be really hard.

But you shouldn't have to spend money and time on something that isn't moving forward you like it should. You just need to explain to your teacher that the class isnt  going the way you wished.

I had to choose between two dance schools. I chose the one that would be new. At first I felt bad, but it WAS worth it.
