If a person or institution writes a cheque for you from one bank, Lets say this bank is the Bank of Canada and you in fact have a bank account with a different bank Lets say Scotiabank, Would you be able to go to Scotiabank (your bank) to get the funds from the cheque transfered to your account or would you have to go to the Bank of Canada (bank of the cheque writer) to get the funds transfered to your account?
