We are going to be moving to New York from Georgia in another day or two. I can't drive our jimmy seperatly because we don't think it will make the trip. So, we have a 24 foot Budget truck and a 15 month old daughter. Is it safer to put her car seat facing forward or rear facing? It is a single cab... so.... yeah.... PLEASE HELP! I'M SO WORRIED ABOUT THIS!

  1. Rear facing and push the seat as far back as possible...

  2. Rear facing is always safer. However, definitely call and ask if you are allowed to take a child with you - some companies will not allow a child to ride in the trucks for liability sake. Don't bother asking them which is safest, however, they're not going to have a clue. :)

Check out the videos below for showing why rear facing is safest in every situation. The moving truck is no different in an accident than other vehicles and your child will be most protected rear facing in it just as she is most protected rear facing in any other vehicles.

  3. It is the same as in a pickup truck have seat facing rearward.

  4. I would call the rental companies...I'm sure you are not the first to have this concern...If the associates don't seem to know.

    call the customer service dept.

    Good luck and drive safetly.
