I am a stay at home mom to my 1.5 year old son. My cousin has a 2 year old, and she is wanting to go back to school, so she is getting 4 c's to pay for daycare. Well, she has asked me to watch her son for her, and then have 4 c's pay me. What do I have to do to be eligible to watch my cousin's son, and recieve payment from 4 c's? I am cpr certified and an EMT but I think my cpr certification is expired, and my EMT license is close to expiring too. Do I have to be licensed by the state? I found their website but there is no information at all. if it makes any difference, we live in Kentucky. Thanks in advance!

  1. I live in MA so I don't know if it is the same but you have to be a state certified to accept government payment.

  2. Well, assuming it's the same as PA, you really don't have to do anything but go into the office and do some paperwork, it takes about 20 minutes. There are some documents you need to bring, they can tell you what you need to see. You can't live with them, and you have to babysit at your house. I will warn you, it can take forever for them to pay you, and they only pay once a month, about 14 dollars a day. My neighbor was supposedly paid through them for watching my daughter while I attended a return to work program. But she watched her for almost two months, and then we moved a month later, and she still hadn't gotten a check when we moved. So make sure you are willing to wait a while for your money.

    Good luck!

  3. call them and ask what their requirements are but I am pretty sure that they will only pay for licensed child care providers through the state you live in.

that means that you home must be state approved to be safe, and you must take certain classes to become certified, and maybe some other things and like I said it varies from state to state.
