my face sans makeup:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v295/xbrandedx/Photo6-1.jpg

i have regular skin, that is, not oily or dry, i get a couple pimples once a month. i have yellow undertones.

i want to even out my skin tone, especially around my eyes & mouth

i live in a cold climate ... so i'm not worried about the sun but rather i'd like to protect my skin from wind and dryness. (i also have broken out using heavy liquid concealer ... it felt like it clogged my pores)

would you recommend liquid, powder, mineral or some combination? which brands?

any tips on choosing colors? should they all be the same shade?

i'd also really appreciate application tips ... i've only used a tiny bit of concealer and powder so far.

thanks so much in advance.

  1. I use Quo foundation, it's really good. and i also use Mineral Wear loose powder.

  2. Your skin is easy to work with since it's neither oily or dry. I think you just get concealer to hide the discoloration. Try using almay brightener concealer. It's really good and it last a long time. Get this shade medium 300. You have beautiful skin. Dont use bare essentials because even tho you will get a good coverage, it enlarges your pores over time.

  3. http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind... u r so pretty

  4. I use loreal true match in buff beige, thats my summer color and I like it better than my smashbox which was expensive.  I use a few drops mixed with my moisterizer in essence a tinted moisterizer you can customize each morning, when skin looks good more moisterizer on an off day a little more foundation sometimes I add a little primer to the mix. What sells me on the true match is that the foundation, concealer, powder, blush and bronzer are all coordinated to match each other so its really a no fail no goof choice. Bare minerals contains bismuth oxychloride when can make your skin itchy if its sensitive to it and it can be pretty expensive. The true match also has an spf of 17 and if your skin is dry you can use a heavier moisterizer.  With the tinted moisterizer you just put it on your face as usual, the powder I buff into my skin with a kabuki brush, I dont really use concealer and the blush I brush onto my apples and use the rest on the brush to brighten up my nose forehead and chin. Hope this helps. And the loreal usually goes on a buy one get one free or half off, and you can get it anywhere.

  5. bare minerals makeup is the best i have ever used and it has a 15 spf. in it. anywhere they sell it they will help you with a shade that is perfect for your skin tone. they can teach you how to apply and all the good secrets. it wil not clog your pores and will look much more natural then a liquid foundation or liqid concealer which i think makes people look fake and too made up. try it..i'm sure you will love it.
