Question about cold medicines. Please help?

I have a cold and I want to know if I can take NyQuil after taking DayQuil 5 hours ago. One of the warnings says that it should not be taken with anything else containing Acetaminophen, but I don't know if that means I cannot take NyQuil at all or something else. So my question is, is it safe to use NyQuil after using DayQuil 5 hours ago?

  1. Space the dosing between the two 4-6 hours, should be ok.  they don't want you to take tylenol or something like it with the medication (dayquil) you are taking.

  2. What that means is to not take them together. But, if you took the DayQuil 5 hours ago, you are safe to take the NyQuil. You should wait 4-6 hours in between doses when taking anything for colds or flus. The best thing to do is to take the NyQuil and then tomorrow take nothing and let your body fight the virus you have caught. You need to sleep, but tomorrow let your immune system kick in and kill whatever is making you sick.

  3. If I were you, I'll stop taking any kind of cold relief medicine altogether because it will only mess up your natural immune system to colds. At first your body will have a hard time fighting off the colds but slowly your immune system will take over and defeat the colds. Believe me when I tell you; your body will become stronger against colds later on and you'll feel better about yourself. I've never had any kind of major or minor colds since I stopped drinking cold medicines.
