Question about computers and Internet (I know it's vague, but help me out, please)?

Let's say someone goes on their computer and messes around on the Internet. When the bill comes to that person's parents, will it say what web sites he's been on? Like, if I went on Google, will it say I was on Google?

  1. No that has never happened to me and I've been on the net for over 10 years.  Just think of how much paper would be wasted.  It's not practical and would increase costs to the phone company or the cable provider.

However all the sites you have visited will be stored in the History folder on the pull down menu.

  2. No. Don't worry.

  3. No. Browsing history is not listed on a bill.

But you might want to clear your history if you've been on sites you don't want your parents to know about.   ;)

  4. Simple answer, no, and I've been on the "net" since before there was a net (who remembers BBS ?)

Anyway, your bill wont show that as you can imagine it would have to show every site your computer had visited that month, which isn't really practical.

If you want to hide where you have been make sure you clear your history, delete your temp Internet files, clear the cookies and remove anything you might have typed from the auto-complete.  There are programs to do all this for you, but it depends how far you want to go and what you are trying to hide/cover.

Just one last thought, if you really have been on Google I'm sure they will forgive you :-)
