Answer:  In most States you are not allowed to use deadly force except in defense of your own life or the life of another regardless of whether or not you have a concealed carry license.  Possessing a concealed carry weapon's license does not automatically give you 'permission' to shoot someone.  You might not be charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon but could end up charged with homicide.  For a better answer you should run your question by a criminal defense lawyer.

  2. In most states it is written in the law, that you must be in fear of great bodily harm or death, of yourself or someone in your immediate vicinity, to use deadly force.

Having the ability to carry a concealed weapon does not give you any more right to use deadly force.

Most often when deadly forced is used, the shooter gets arrested, gun taken for evidence, booked then sees a judge who decides wether this was justifiable homocide.   You then either go home, and prepare for any civil action this scumbags family will take against you, or you stay in jail until your hearing for the charges of murder/homocide, if the judge feels otherwise.

If you are afraid this guy is gonna punch you in the eye, that does not constitute the use of deadly force.

If this guy confronts you in your driveway with a pistol, then that would be a good example to use deadly force.

Dont forget, you must be 21, and be able to pass county, state, and federal background checks, an 8 hour class(in KS), and a fairly easy shooting test.

  3. Yes that is the point of getting the CPL.  I am a cop

  4. NO

The concealed carry permit only gives you permission to carry a concealed weapon

It does not give or imply any right to use the gun in any situation other than simply to have it on your person

If you want to know when you can shoot someone you need to look up the self defense  laws in your state

They vary so much from state to state that no one can answer your question without knowing where you live
