Question about conditional green card?

I have a general question about conditional green card.

I have read in an article that if you enter the United States after the second anniversary of your marriage, you will receive permanent Green Card even if at the time of interview with the US Embassy (a couple of months before the actual entry), you've been issued conditional residency (because the marriage wasn't 2 years at the time).

Is that ture?

  1. 100 % true   my chinese wife  entered  after  2 full yrs of marriage  she was  granted  unconditional green card

  2. yes, it's true. actually, according to the book that my husband and i used as a guide when we processed my i-130,it recommended that if the 2nd year anniversary of your wedding falls within the 6 month range after you get your visa approval, you should just wait till then to enter the US. that way, when you step into the US, you're immediately a permanent resident.

but, you have to point that fact out to the border official when you enter the US though. they might overlook that fact. show your marriage certificate as a proof of what you are claiming.

  3. if you were told this by an immigration officer then it will be true , they have no reason to lie. If "someone without authority in immigration told you this then please call your Immigration office and they will tell you the facts.Never rely on... He said, they said or she said.

  4. You are already qualified as green card holder after a couple of months being a spouse of an American.
