  1. Um, yeah, sweetie. If you have been wearing makeup while you have the conjunctivitis, then you have already completely contaminated your makeup. Try not to wear eye makeup and throw out what you have now. Once you are totally over the infection, perhaps try using hypoallergenic products on your eyes and maybe the infection won't come back again.

I know how you feel. I've had this mess before. My doctors told me not to use anything on my eyes until the infection was gone. I hope you have a prescription for drops or medicine to put in your eyes.

Conjunctivitis can be painful and annoying because you feel like you just want to scratch your eyes all of the time. That will only tend to spread the infection.

Just wait until you're totally over this and trash what you have that is contaminated now. You can buy more makeup when your conjunctivitis has totally cleared up.

You may not like going with out your makeup for a while, but it really would help speed things up in helping your eyes to heal.

Every day you wear this contaminated makeup is going to prolong your unwanted eye infection.

I hope this is of some help to you!  Best of luck!!   ☺

  2. Just don't wear it...you just keep on reinfecting your eye(s) you can do the rest of your face and opt for sunglasses til the infection is gone.

  3. On one hand that makes sense, but on the other....not so much.  How do you think your eyes will be able to heal if you continue to put the germ into them daily.  You should lay off the eye make-up altogether during the healing process, but if you want to continue wearing it, try buying cheap make-up to wear for a couple of days until the medicine has a chance to fight off the germ.  Good luck and get well soon.

  4. My friend just went through this and she had to quit wearing it. The make up you used when you first got the infection is tainted with it.  So as long as you use the make up your gonna keep the infection. Also, if you wear contacts stop wearing them.

Being in a dark room will help and my friend wore her sunglasses to make it that much darker. I felt so sorry for her as I do for you to. I hope that your using drops because it can cause you to go blind if left untreated.

She had it bad enough that she couldn't see out of either eye. It went from the right to the left overnight. The doctor gave her some drops and within a day she could see alot better. Until you start the medicine, you are highly contagious. Even after you start the drops for approximately 2 days after your contagious. You aren't even supposed to let the bottle touch your eyelashes when you put the drops in your eyes. So that should answer your question about the make up.

  5. Not a good idea.  You will keep reinfecting the eye with the contaminated makeup.  Once it has been near the eye it needs to be thrown out.  Besides this is an infection and needs to stay makeup free for a week.
