Question about contact lenses?

I currently wear glasses and I'm thinking of getting contacts but I just heard that wearing contacts doesn't give your eyes the oxygen it needs so glasses are better for the eyes. Is it true?

  1. yup, your eyes don't get oxgen thats why they say take them out every night i take mine out about 2 hours before i go to sleep wearing contacts is alot of responsibility

  2. If you get the right contact lenses your contacts should be fine, also they have lubricating drops to put in your eyes in they get dry.

  3. Well, your eyes do not get as much oxygen, but if you wear them the way your doctor tells you to, you will not be harmed by them. I am 44. I have worn soft lenses since I was 15. My eyes are really healthy, but I clean them and I take them out when I am supposed to and I also let my eyes rest and get some oxygen in the mornings and at night before I go to bed. I also go a day or so a week with my glasses on and give the contacts a total rest. I have no problems at all.
