ok so on thursday one of my contacts ripped so i threw it out. i didnt have any other pair so i had to wear my glasses. ive been wearing my glasses ever since then and it really sucks..i do not want to wear them to school tomorrow and my new contacts probably wont come in until tues or wed. so..i was thinking, would it be ok to just wear the contact that didnt rip in the one eye and nothing in the other? i know itd be a little off, but i hate wearing glasses.

will this like mess up my eyes or will it be ok to do that for school tomorrow? thnx

  1. Your vision will just be a little blurry since you have only one contact in, but you'll live. It'll be fine.

  2. If you don't wear glasses, you can't see. Ask your doctor for another ordered pair of contacts. Glasses will only due for now.

  3. I'm glad you didn't plan to re-use the damaged contact. There are many risks if you do.

You must be new to them. I too am. The same thing has happened to me and I asked my optometrist for a replacement since I am still on the trialing period.

I don't see any harm by wearing just one but it may be a bit uncomfortable later on. Ensure you carry your glasses in case you need them anytime during the day.

    Hope this helps!

  4. You wont see very well, but no, it's not harmful. As long as the contact you're wearing isn't the damaged one.
