ive been on the pill for a while now. last month under the advice of my doctor i went onto a new packet instead of having my 7 day break. I lost my packet 2 weeks in and now im bleeding. Is this my period? aam i safe to have unprotected s*x? can i resume the pill after 7 days?

You're never "safe" to have unprotected s*x.  Even on the pill, you should use a condom, if you really don't want to get pregnant.  And the pill doesn't protect against STD's.  You can get pregnant having s*x while you're on your period.  You can get pregnant while you're on the pill.  You can get pregnant any time.

Ask your doctor about when to start the pill again, but until you do and have been on it for a full cycle of pills, you could ovulate.  You need to use at least one method of birth control, ie. a condom, and you could use additional methods as well, like a spermicide foam or insert.

well if you are on the pill, the bleeding you get while on your break isn't technically a period, it's bleeding due to a change in hormones... But yea i think it's that "period". It most likely is if you missed 2/3 pills.

It would be more safe if you waited a while to have s*x, or used a barrier method for a while. Ask your doctor if you are confused.

yes it's your period. no you're not safe to have s*x and yes it will be OK to start the pill in 7 days

Yes it's your period.  You should use a condom for the next month since you didn't finish the packet.

I agree with naenae you are having your period. Unprotected s*x will not be safe until you have completed a full packet of pills. You can start a new pack a week from when your bleeding started.

That is your period... I would refrain from having s*x... and yes start a NEW pack after 7 days.

uhh... I think it might be your period, but I"m no doctor, you should ask your doctor about that to be on the safe side if you don't want to end up with a child just yet
