  1. Hello from Costa Rica!!!

My name is Johan, I live in San José, look there are lots of things to do here, if you like to go to the amusement park, we have one, well is not DISNEY but u'll like it, if u prefer night life, in Escazú there's a new really high end place named PRIVE. Let me tell u in Escazú there are many many places to visit I think u'll feel like at home cuz for example in MULTIPLAZA (COSTA RICA BIGGEST MALL) are plenty of stores and many strangers visit it.

Down town (San Jose) has many stores too and is CHEAPER just don't carry that much money ($50) each person is more than enough to have a good day. If u need maps just tell me i'll send google earth maps with marked places u want.

  2. In San Jose, there is plenty to do, that's the capital. If you want to go to a club, you can do that. Mall? There are plenty to choose from. Personally, I like El Paseo de los Flores Mall. Weather in March is pretty warm. Be sure to take sunblock. Take a jeans, shorts, t-shirt, a light jacket (and an umbrella).

Back to your question of things to do and where to shop. You can go downtown "el centro" there are some cheap stores down there. Carrion is a good place, with decent prices.

As with any place, don't carry around a lot a money around and be weary of you surroundings. You probably won't need more than 5 thousand colones at a time (unless you are shopping). If you decided to carry a camera don't carry it everywhere and have it out. That could catch a thief's eye. In general the people of Costa Rica are extremely nice and helpful and love it to tell you about their culture.

If you have anymore questions I'll be glad to answer them!! :)

  3. San Jose is Costa Rica's Capital city and it is not as big as any other Latin American City because this is a very tiny but comfortable country. On March, climate is a little bit hot, because we will be on the Dry Season (Summer), and Downtown Bus System is really cheap. Take care with addresses because here is a little bit weird for any foreign. I'm Costa Rican , I guess you noticed that lol. If you are going to sleep in San Jose Downtown, it will be very easy to you move to every place of the capital. Here there are malls, casinos, restaurants, hotels, amusement parks, museums, zoo, bars, canopy, trips... Well, I'm 18, and I don't know if my way of entertainment is the same like you, but I like a lot San Pedro, because it have different places were you can get a lot of fun!!! More info, maps, everything you need... hey! If you want, I can go with you to some places! well I don't know, it depends on you... anyway contact me at crisdiaz89@gmail.com
