Question about debit card

I recently tried to check the balance on my debit card on the internet, but to my surprise when i went to enter the card number and secret code it said that my account has been locked. What exactly does that mean, and do i have to call the 1-800 number on the back?

By the way it is a visa prepaid gift card.

That means you need to call in, possibily someone else has tried to enter your account.

you probably enter the wrong code or account number and it locked you out... Just call the 1-800 number... Not to be wise but by the time you typed this question the problem would have probably  been resolved if you would have called right away!

You should always call when you have a problem or question with your account.  Definitely call the 800 number on the back of your card.  They can help you.

I am sure there is a number on the back of the card to call. Without saying exactly who issued the card, it's hard to tell you which number to call.
