At night before i go to sleep i get really depressed, i usually have to have something going on to keep myself from feeling depressed. I usually have to keep myself distracted from feeling depressed in order to function normally, for example before i go to bed i use the computer to keep my mind focused on other things than depression. It gets really bad at night, and i feel horrible, to the point where i cant sleep at all. For the anxiety part, i feel really worried when i leave the house i have to check everything and make mental notes to make sure everything is turned off, doors locked, garage closed or i get really bad anxiety, and then i just get really bad anxiety about upcoming events like school starting back up and stuff like that. I don't know if it is a mental problem, or if everyone experiences this. Please give me some feed back!

  1. I used to feel the same way.

Please take this into consideration. It worked for me, although I am not you.

I had overwhelming anxiety and depression. It turned out to be my use of Splenda. Yup Splenda. How could something that taste so good, be so bad?

I like to say sucralose, not Splenda, because that is what Splenda is. And it is in a lot of stuff. Sadly, the package doesn't have to say Splenda or diet to have sucralose in it. You have to read labels. So, you might be using it and don't even know it!

Sucralose is poison. It ruined five years of my life. I had a laundry list of medical problems while taking it, including overwhelming anxiety, depression, mood swings, insomnia and more.

Go ahead, google: anxiety splenda or anxiety sucralose or insomnia splenda or insomnia sucralose

The slogan, "Made from sugar..." is very misleading. Splenda might be made from sugar, but it is far from sugar. The resulting chemical is an organochloride (chlorocarbon). Organochlorides are typically poisons.

carbon monoxide - made from oxygen so its like a breath of fresh air

  2. I don't really know anything about that kind of anxiety so I will leave that to those that do, but it sounds like anxiety disorder, I have a friend that has it and what you describe sounds like the symtoms. But I do know alot about depression, as I've been struggling with it for a year straight. This sounds alot like me, also to the point where I can't sleep at night sometimes, which is what has me up at this hour. Depression is a clinical illness and while it can be triggered by an event in your life it sometimes appears in an individual for seemingly no reason. When did you first start feeling like this and what was going on in your life at the time? While people may feel depressed a certain day, or for a time because of things that are happening in their life, clinical depression is something that really sticks with you. I have a hard time remembering when I last had a good day. So if you have been like this for awhile it most likely is a mental problem. I don't think that its something everyone experiences, while everyone may know the feeling, it isn't a constant state for them. A counsellor can prescribe medication for it but in my experience they also want you in therapy, so if youre like me and not comfortable with that then making an appointment will likely not help you. So I really have no solution to suggest or I wouldn't be like this myself. I just hope the information helps even just a little.

  3. What you're going through is something many people suffer from. I'm recovering from ocd and from what you're saying here, it looks like you are too. Don't feel discouraged. There's a solution that helped me more than others I've tried. It's called The Linden Method written by an ex sufferer. I hope it helps you too. Good luck! =)

  4. Well it sounds like you have some extreme feelings going on now it depends a lot on when these symptoms started and how long they have been going on but you need to talk to your doctor and see a Psychologist or counselor regarding this because it will not get better on it's own and no not everyone has this it does indicate that you have something going on you need to get some help with.

    well hoped this helps

  6. It does sound like you might have depression and anxiety. But the fact that you can see that what you're doing/feeling is not quite right is a very good thing.

Most depression/anxiety sufferers do feel their symptoms more at night because it's the time of the day when you can finally relax and let all those thoughts and feelings in. Also, you mentioned starting back to school. Sometimes depression/anxiety can be greatly increased due to stress, example:school. Which could be why you feel it getting worse.

I would say go to your doctor and get yourself checked out, so you can get back to your old self. It will be ok.
