  1. Hi there,

you can find reliable dive shops offering diving classes using the url from PADI below. I did a quick search and 18 dive shops were listed in the state of georgia.

    http://www.padi.com/padi/common/dcnr_dis...

you can be a certified diver as long as you are above the age of 15. but in the states I think you would need parental

consent if you're younger than 18.

wreck diving is one of the cool things that divers enjoy doing. but different ship wrecks are located at different depth and might not be that accessible to divers. Even though we have the scuba unit to provide us with air underwater, our body's physiology limits us from going too deep underwater.

The titanic is 13,000ft deep and that is way beyond what our body can take, even with specialized air mixture / equipment.

if you need more information on diving, may I suggest that you join a social network or community dedicated to scuba diving and you should be able to get better / faster feedback. http://www.scubuddies.com is a good start =)

  2. You can be certified as a Junior Open Water diver at age 10 the only restriction that is different from regular Open Water is that you must dive with an adult that is certified. Once you reach age 15 you can convert it to a regular Open Water Certification. As a recreational diver you can only go to 130ft without special equipment and you need deep diving training to go that deep. Beyond that you would need a Technical Diving Certification. Tec Divers go hundreds of feet deep, but still can't go deep enough to reach the Titanic.

There are many dive shops in Georgia that you can go to for your certification. Just do a google search and you can find one in your area, even if you don't live near the water. I would recommend that you go for a PADI Certification. They are one of the most widely recognized agencies around the world. They are also affiliated with DSAT, which is a Technical Diving agency. They can train you how to go really deep safely.

Another option is the JIM Suit. It's like a submarine with arms and legs. I'm not sure if it can go deep enough to reach down there but it's your best bet. Here's the link for it if you want to look into it more. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JIM_suit

So to answer your questions simply there are a lot of dive shops in Georgia for you to go to. You can get certified to dive at 10 with an adult, and 15 with anyone. The Titanic dive is way too deep for a diver to go to without a sub.

Good luck to you and I hope you start your diving soon.
