Question about doing an insurance claim?

Ok so we had a hail storm here and both of my trucks got some damage. So here's my question:

If I do a claim and don't fix the truck with the money can I still keep full coverage on the truck or do I have to fix it to keep the full coverage? Cuz I don't wanna use the money on the truck cuz it's not that bad but I do want to do the claim.

Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks

  1. Dear, it is completely up to you what you do with the money. The insurance company pays for you to fix it. As far as they are concerned they have fulfilled their service to you. If you don't fix the car, so what! Pay your insurance premiums, you can keep all the insurance you want. The money is yours, your decision. Don't worry. Texas or not.

  2. is there a lein on the truck?  if so the leinholder will require you to fix it.  if not then you can do what you want BUT if you don't fix it and try to claim damage the next time it hails, they will deny the claim.

  3. If you keep the money and do not repair the truck? The next time you try to file a claim on this truck, against hail damage, your claim will be denied !
