Question about download speed.?

Im aware that the download speed is based on you ISP. But when i start a download, it starts at 400kps, but very quickly slows to about 45kps. Im running some realy crappy sattelite internet that loads the web fast and streams pretty good, but downloads like c**p. Is there a way to improve my download speed.

P.S. im not using torrents or nothing, just IE.

No, I suggest using FireFox first of all.

Try setting up http://opendns.com/

They will guide you through the steps.

And I suggest getting cable internet.
