I am going to take the driving license test at the Santa Teresa DMV.

Do you have to look over your shoulder when making a right turn when already in the lane furthest to the right? If so, is there anytime when you don't?

Is there any tips or small things that I should know besides the location of the turn signals etc.?

No, you don't.  You just have to look in the lane you're turning into.
