Question:

Question about driving test...?

Should you just do the speed limit or go with the flow of traffic? For example, if the posted speed limit is 25mph but everyone else is going 40mph, should you do 25mph and slow everyone else down (I'll be in a car from my driving school with "STUDENT DRIVER" written all over the place so maybe people will be a little bit more considerate) or do 35/40mph?

Is there anything else I should know about that could result in me failing the test? I really want to pass and not go through the stress of having to take it again.

  1. Let me see if I understand the question. To paraphrase:

Should I drive 15 mph over the speed limit to pass my driving test?

Stay in the right lane and drive the speed limit.

  2. everybodys been there, just relax and go speed limit.keep your eyes on road. youll be o.k.

  3. DO NOT GO OVER THE SPEED LIMIT

    YOU WILL FAIL BELIEVE ME

  4. During your test obey all posted traffic signs.  In real life you will cause an accident because you will be a hazard.

Yes there are situations where this may occur; ie:  there is a road I drive on everyday which is posted @ 35 mph, everyone drives 45 mph, with experience you figure out what is safe and what is not.

HOWEVER you can get a ticket for going 1mph over the speed limit. period.

The posted speed sign is NOT a suggestion, it is the law.

You do not want to impede the flow of traffic either so use your good judgment when you are out on the road.

  5. stick to the speed limit, good luck

  6. speed limit or your fail

  7. you go at the posted speed limit at all times. Regardless of the how fast they are going, they are breaking the law.

  8. Always do the speed limit. If you get in the position where you have to go faster, then by all means, act like a normal driver and go faster... just use extra precaution, and make sure the teacher notices it. You are the driver, and you need to make the judge-ments.

  9. If you go 2-3 MPH over the limit, you'll fail. Go no faster than the speed limit. Stay perhaps 1 above or less than the speed limit. But do not go with the flow of the traffic; you can only do that after you get your license.

  10. A driving test is to determine if you can apply the "rules of the road" in action. This means following the speed limit at all times, especially in school zones.

Even if you pass your driving exam, just because everyone else is doing something, doesn't mean you should. It only takes one cop, to single you out to get a speeding ticket.

    Do the limit.

  11. usually, the mainstream traffic isn't going 20 miles above the speed limit. During the test stay close to the speed limit, but it is ok to venture 5 mph above or below it. During the test you will probably not be driving on the highway, where this problem occurs. Stay calm and focused during the test and if you really know how to drive, you should pass.
