so, I was listening to "rock and roll" by led zeppelin, and, you know at the end of that song where the drummer goes like: "do, do , dodododododoodododododoodododoodododo" listen to it, you'll know what I'm talking about,

what I'm wondering is how does he do that?

Thanks in advance

  1. That's the old Bonham l**k.

    S=Snare

    High Tom=HT

    Floor Tom=FT

    Bass=B

    Check it, this is the rhythm of it now. "S-HT-FT--B." You delay the Bass hit just a hair. "da da doo, boom---da da doo, boom" Sorry, it's hard to explain rhythm online without musical notation.

    Bonham would also play it like this S-HT-FT-B, all in a row.

    This is called "Bucket O' Fish" cause it sounds like "Bucket O' Fish" when played.

    Work on those and get them faster. Concentrate on the Bass in both. If you rush or drag the Bass it sounds pretty crappy. Good Luck.

    P.S.- Your name is Atomic, and Atom is answering your question. Haha.

  2. Just mess about on the toms and bass drum. But make it sound good.
