Question about either cr 125 or yz 125?

i had been riding dirt bikes for about 6 years then i had to buy a truck so i had to sell my cr 80 expert. needless to say i also out grew it i am about 5 11 and weigh about 140-150 i am looking for a new bike. I am a big fan of 2 strokes so i have limited it down to either the cr 125 or the yz 125, am i too big for this bike? i dont think so but i am looking for some other opinion. also which bike do you think would be better for me i will be doing some trail and some motocross jumps and what not. any ideas?

i'd say the yz...i had one n they are awesome...but that is just me personal opinion

i would go with the yz the standard cr is weak you can get them good with tuning but standard there slow. the yz and ktm 125's are the strongest 125's so id go for one of these .

auburn in england you can get 08 cr 125's there not developed anymore but they are 08's so you might be able to import one to your country if you want to keep riding them

no thats average rider size but i don't think Honda makes the Cr 125 any more most dealers went to 4 strokes think Yamaha still makes the yz 125 i think

My son has a cr125 and races it quite successfully although he is a lot shorter than you, but I don't see you being too tall.  I suggest you go to a dealer and sit on a couple as see if you feel too big and that may help you make a decision.  The other answerer is right in that my son has one of the last cr125's that Honda produced as they stopped making them.  So you would not be able to get a 2008 model as they do not exist.

James I didn't know that>  thought they had stopped at 2007 as that is the last one we could get..   My son turns senior here at the end of the year so will have to stop riding his cr125 and his crf150r so will just have to concentrate on the 250cc.  Will make my life easier as I will only have to worry about him killing himself on one bike instead of having 9 races or 12 races in a day he will be back to only 3.
