Question about fact-finding phone interview wtih employment commission?

I quit my job with a good cause. Today I had the phone interview to determine whether the employment commission felt it was. At the beginning of call I told her that I had a time line of events but she didn't want me to tell her, only to answer her questions. She asked about recent events which I answered & I told her there was more that I wanted to add and she said that the interview was over. She then said to continue filing that they would send a letter to inform me whether I have been found eligiable or ineligiable for benefits. Once again I told her there were other reasons why I quit she said again that we were done with the phone interview. So basically I didn't get to tell everything I wanted. I left because of 3 issues. We only talked about one during the interview. She really cut me short and I feel like it wasn't fair that I was not able to finish telling all that I wanted to. Does anyone know why they would cut me short like this? Should I call back to tell all the reasons?

  1. Well, people "always" have good reasons for quitting.

It doesn't matter.  If your reason is "stress" or "management was a jerk" or whatever, that's not a valid reason!!  They don't CARE!  That's why she cut you off.  She could spend an hour on the phone with you - she's heard a million "good" reasons why someone "has" to quit.

You're not going to qualify for unemployement, sorry.

  2. I suspect she asked you about only the reasons that they would have a legal responsibility to consider.  You may feel your other reasons are relevant, but unless they are relevant to employment law, they don't matter to the employment commission.
