Question about fingerprints ?

it is a very interested issue to tallk about it

but why the two fingerprints of the two thumbs of the same indevidual are not identecal and in some cases they are very different , deposite that genes of the DNA of the individual resposible for this phenotybe (trait)

  1. because nothing in the human body is symmetrical...why should they be on the outside?...even your face isn't perfectly symmetrical...


  2. DNA does not code for fingerprint pattern, it only codes for them to be provided, with the details of the pattern to be resolved during fetus growth.

    If you'd have 100% regenerative capacity, and you got your finger amputated and it could grow back, it would NOT have the same fingerprint.

    The same is true for many different details: the exact pattern of blood vessels in the retina, the presence of birth marks or moles, the shape of wrinkles and folds on the forehead or in the palm of the hand, and so on.

    This applies to animals as well; if you clone a cow, the black and white pattern will be different between the original and the clone, still they have to have the exact same DNA, by definition.
