Question about fixed gear track bikes?

how is Windsor's The Hour for a first fixie? i dont need anything special, just want a bike that will do it's job. i saw a deal online for $299.95 and it looks like a good deal. it's my first fixie. actually, it's my first bike period since i was about 8yrs old. thanks in advance for the help.

I looked into the Windsor awhile back and shopped the same question on an online forum with plenty of fixie riders.  They said the frame was OK though there are some "rough welds" on some of the models.  The components were considered low-end/crappy but the frame OK for a fixie if you're building from the ground up.  I wasn't terribly impressed with the Windsor website either.

    I see a lot of bikes each day (Portland, OR) and I've seen one Windsor fixie.  It doesn't look that bad!

    So I'd say if you're doing it yourself or trust the person who built the fixie... it'd be a good around town bike.  I'd get something more proven if you're looking to compete or go touring.
