When you drink various flavored water, the zero calories zero carbs stuff, does your body process that as water or something else? Now what about vitamin water/ things like Propel does your body process that as having had water? If it processes it as something else is it processed in your body as juice or food.

Serious question here!

  1. Well everything that goes through your mouth is processed by all the same mechanisms. Water is not really processed as such but it is definitely used in the digestion process. All the added vitamins, chemicals and additives used in those drinks would be filtered out by the liver and you would then just pee it out.

  2. Sounds....

  3. the new products have no clinical studies simply because it is not required.. the co's market this for a movement in the industry but do not use science..science is proof that something works.. for example, vitamins in hand lotions are useless and unabsorbed, because the research is nonexistent..

The use of b vitamins in water for example is a waste.. simply because clinical research has proven that only 1 b vitamin is absorbed in the stomach, folic acid.. all others are absorbed in the intestines..that is why vibrous food carries them into the intestines for absorption.. a b vitamin pill that is not designed to be absorbed in the intestines, has no value, because the stomach acids are strong and destroy them in the stomach..they are a water soluble vitamin..so the bottom line is use plain water and do  not waste your money on vitamin water.. it is a feel good product that does nothing..only a clinical study that is double blind and placebo based is the standard..who spends money on such detailed studies?  SHAKLEE

  4. Your body doesn't process different liquids differently, so yes, they are.
