Question about foreighn exchange...?

Question

where would I go to to change a 50 euro into american dollars so i can send a card home with money in it for a present..I live in florence and know my way around..Any help Thanks...

The best way to change is of course : a bank -but the exchange rate is quite LOW at the moment... You probably will only receive (after charges) about 32$ due to the current strenght of the Euro, the $$ is worth "nothing" anymore.....

A bank-transfer is the safest way, but not as "romantic" as if

you put "a bill" into a card.... I know...

50 Euro will give you about $70 after the cost of exchange. (Maybe a little less.)

Are you willing to trust the mail service with that much money?

If you are, most bank offices will exchange money for you, there are likely also some exchange offices, but before you hand the money over, ask how much you will get, as there are a lot of hidden costs. (Exchange fees and much lower rates than the official ones.)

The best and safest way is when you go to a bank! But sending money by letter is not really safe can't you send it by paypal or Western Union?
