Question about gas cooker delivery?

We want to buy one but are never in for delivery, if we were to collect it ourselves we'd have to lay it on it's side in the back of the car. Is this safe to do or are you not supposed to tip them on their sides?

Sure, its fine!! The only problem is with fridges and freezers needing to be upright.
