  1. It's very rare that someone is 1/2 black or 1/2 white we are "almost" all mongrels with a glorious patchwork in our genetics. The more the better. The exceptions are like pure bred pets, overly inbred and prone to disease.

  2. It would be classified as half black and half white, just like the parents, because they both have presumably equal parts black and white. Chuck Norris is half white and half Native American, but it's from both sides because both of his parents were half  Irish and half Cherokee. Halle Berry's baby is three quarters white since she is half black and half white, and the boyfriend is all white. What I don't know is why this matters so much to you. You seem to be really hoping that some body's baby comes out white.

  3. due to genetics for eg. if you have a black father and a white mother you could be white but your offspring could be black despite if you and your wife are white, coloured genes are always passed down from generation to generation they just get diluted, but it does depend on the recessive genes.

  4. No.  They cannot have an all white baby.

The baby would still be classified as mixed.

  5. Yes and it is possible for the baby to look fully black or both. I think the baby would be classed as mixed.

  6. There is a 25% chance the baby will be white, 25% chance it will be black, and 50% chance it will be black and white.

Hope this helps.  It would be classified mixed race, yes.

  7. Yes it's possible but extremely rare. the baby would probably be half black like the parents or all black

  8. Oh come on, of course they would still be mixed race - the genes might be diluted further depending on what alleles (expressed genes) they receive so they may look more white than black or more black than white - but they will certainly have a mix and can class themselves as they wish depending on what they think of themselves and what they resemble most. The only all-white and blonde possibilty is an albino.

  9. The mix of race by percentage is not the determining factor.  There is no gene for race or genes for specific skin color (as there is for specific eye color).  There are genes for skin tone or the amount of melanin in the skin.  So the determining factor is the skin tone of the parents.  Generally, the children's skin tone will not be darker than the darker of the two parents or lighter than the lighter of the two, but can range anywhere in between.  Children might appear lighter or darker than either parent depending on differences in sun exposure and other factors.

As to classifying by race, that is a political/social decision not a genetic one.  There is no gene for race.

  10. Yes, it is, but it is extremely rare.  Fully black is also possible.  As to how they want to classify themselves, it's up to them.
