I'm going to a 2 year community college and planning on transferring to a 4 year university. My major is electrical engineering, however, i got a C in calculus 1 this past summer and am concerned about whether or not this will hurt my chances of getting into a university. I worked full time this summer which was stupid as well as an online programming class. My GPA is 3.66 now, after my C. I learned my lesson and plan on working only on the weekends this fall, but will that C really mess up my chances of getting into a university?

  1. Unless you were hoping to transfer into a highly competitive program, the answer is no.  Most 4 year colleges are happy to accept your check.
