Question about getting multifocal (progressives/ tri-focal) contacts?????

i want to get multi-focal contacts but the only thing that i want to know is....

you know how multi focal glasses is kinda hard to walk wih considering there are 2+ precriptions inside. well, will it be the same with contacts??

i think i know the answer but i need a 2nd, or 3rd opinion

  1. I wear these lenses, have for some time.  I adjusted with absolutely no problems at all.  In fact, it was much easier for me since my job requires reading sometimes tiny print.  The glasses I have with these lenses (the back up glasses) do sometimes cause me to adjust the tilt of my head but no such problem with the contacts.  Go for it, you'll love them!


  2. Multifocal contatcs work much differently from, say, progressive lenses in glasses. You wear them the same way you any other pair of contact lenses. They can take a little getting used to, since they are larger than other soft contact lenses. It really depends on the person.

    Your optometrist can fit you into the right pair of multifocal lenses and then you can try them out to see how you like them.

  3. Multi-focal contacts work much differently than MF lenses.   I haven't worn them myself but I've heard that lighting that affects the size of your pupil can interfere with distance vision (i believe).  It's a totally different concept from MF lenses though.
