Question about getting my DVD short films onto youtube?

On our Imac, I make my short films on Imovie, and to put it onto youtube, I share the movie to quicktime and choose Web. So when I upload it's on youtube I can choose it off the desktop to upload. Well, I have some short films I made in September that are really good westerns. I already burnt them to a disc from IDVD though! So now it's like a real DVD that plays on the TV. Is there anyway to get the video off of that DVD to get it up on youtube like I do with my short films I haven't burnt yet to a disc off of IDVD? It would really help if you could answer this.

Thanks.

  1. Download and install HandBrake.

    http://handbrake.fr/

Rip the DVD. Save as DV or .mov file.

Save as an MPEG-4 and limit the size to 100 meg (YouTube limitation). Let HandBrake figure out which compression (and how much) to apply).

  2. - Upload .vob files from dvd folder/video_ts/ to preferred pc folder

    - convert .vob files to formats supported by youTube (e.g., avi, mpg, wmv, etc,). Try Super or Prism

    - upload converted files to youTube

  3. I am using Cucusoft Ultimate DVD Converter, it can support output almost any audio/video format including Video format(H264, MP4, WMV, AVI, MOV, RM, 3GP, flv, SWF, mpeg-1, mpeg-2, VideoCD, SuperVideoCD, DVD, etc) and Audio format(AC3, AAC, MP2, MP3, MP4, RA, WMA, etc.). With this all-in-one DVD Converter, you can make any your own video from your DVDs. It's the best dvd converter tool I have been used.
